The Valencian company Megamobiliario, specialised in the design and manufacture of handcrafted and contemporary furniture for the Home and Contract sector, is showing its acclaimed CREA collection to architecture, design and interior design professionals at the Cosentino Valencia Center. With this collection, Megamobiliario highlights the value of designer wooden furniture in interior decoration; pieces made by hand, using traditional techniques such as cabinetmaking and marquetry, which have been passed down over the years to create furniture that is not only functional, but also becomes a true work of art for any space.

Designed by the Valencian designer Víctor Pinto, CREA offers a wide variety of sideboards, display cabinets, bookcases, bookcases, desks and coffee, living and dining tables, standing out for their ability to be customised and made to measure. Inspired by the nature of wood and technology, CREA is influenced by Japanese harmony, the vintage trend and current verticality, where the rhythm of the lines and the play of light and shadow generated in the architecture stand out.

Each piece becomes a work of great design and quality, combining the warmth of natural oak and walnut wood with the advanced finishes of the ultra-compact Dekton by Cosentino surface, in its Neural, Laurent and Rem models. Megamobiliario's wood suppliers have the international FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification, which guarantees that the wood is obtained through controlled felling.

CREA and the ‘Comunitat Valenciana Craftsmanship Award ’.

Precisely a sideboard from the CREA collection led the company Megamobiliario to be distinguished in December 2023 with the ‘Premio Artesanía de la Comunitat Valenciana’ (Valencian Community Craftsmanship Award), in the highest category. This recognition praises a business trajectory of more than 40 years, transmitting the values of craftsmanship, adapting to the market, promoting its national and international commercialisation, and combining artisan production with innovation, new technologies and avant-garde design.

Event at Cosentino Center Valencia.

To show CREA to design, architecture and interior design professionals, Megamobiliario and Cosentino Valencia organised an event and afterwork on Thursday 23rd May at the Cosentino Center Valencia showroom. The collaboration between the two companies, which began in 2020, has been fundamental for the development of CREA with the incorporation of the Dekton surface to the furniture of this collection.

The event was attended by the two generations of the company Megamobiliario, the founders Francisco García and Vicenta Muñoz, who a few years ago passed the baton to María García and Vicente Vila, the current CEO and Product Manager of the firm. They were accompanied by Víctor Pinto, Megamobiliario collaborator and CREA designer, as well as by representatives of Cosentino Valencia, such as Óscar Expósito and Guzmán Boronat, Manager and Designer Sales Manager, respectively.

For the occasion, the facilities were decorated with different examples of the CREA collection, which were combined with art pieces by Mapi Gómez, a visual artist inspired by the sea; and with lighting by LZF Lamps, a company that manufactures handmade wood veneer lamps, combining tradition, craftsmanship, technology and research.

After bringing CREA to Cosentino City Madrid last April and now to Cosentino Center Valencia, the collection will soon travel to other Cosentino showrooms, such as Barcelona, Antwerp, Mallorca and Malaga throughout this year 2024.
